David Osborne joined Lindsay, Rappaport & Postel, LLC in June of 2009 and represents insurer and policyholder clients in a wide range of insurance coverage disputes, from those involving auto and commercial general liability coverage, to those involving complex multi-layer excess, reinsurance, directors and officers, professional errors and omissions, trucking, maritime, mass tort, environmental, intellectual property, advertising injury and personal injury coverage, employment coverage, life insurance, business torts and construction defect claims. Mr. Osborne also has specialized experience in bad faith, conflict of interest and independent counsel issues. He has handled more than 30 appeals in the Illinois Supreme Court, each of the five Districts of the Illinois Appellate Court, and in the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, involving not only insurance coverage, but subjects as wide-ranging as appellate legal malpractice, class certification and litigation, product liability, spoliation of evidence, paramedic liability, wage-and-hour claims and federal jurisdiction.Mr. Osborne devotes a substantial portion of his practice to advising clients on complex coverage issues, involving the laws of many different jurisdictions and lines of coverage, as well as policy drafting. Mr. Osborne is a 1993 with honors graduate of Washington University-St. Louis and attended law school at Northwestern University School of Law, graduating in 1996. His admissions include the Illinois Supreme Court, United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois and United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois. |
