 Stuart Rappaport concentrates his practice on defending premises liability cases of all types, defense of restaurants and taverns, construction injury cases, transportation injury cases, and other civil litigation matters. Stuart is a 1984 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and obtained his law degree in 1988 from the University Of Illinois College Of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude and with several honors, including Order of the Coif, Harno Scholar, American Jurisprudence Award Winner, and where he was an Associate Editor of the University of Illinois Law Review. He began his career practicing with one of Chicago's largest business law firms in the area of commercial litigation, before moving to personal injury litigation and insurance practice. He was senior trial counsel for Commercial Union Insurance Co. for several years before joining the firm now known as Lindsay, Rappaport & Postel. He has successfully defended and tried numerous cases in the Illinois courts. He is a member of the federal trial bar, as well as the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel (IADTC), where he has been an instructor in the IADTC trial academy. He is the author of the 2008 Quick Guide to Premises Liability, published by the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education (IICLE), as well as The Complete Illinoisan's Guide to Defending Premises Liability Cases. |
